USCIS to Expand In-Person Interview Requirements for Certain Permanent Residency Applicants

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will begin expanding in-person interviews for certain immigration benefit applicants whose benefit, if granted, would allow them to permanently reside in the United States.
Update to Form N-426, Request for Certification of Military or Naval Service

New edition 07/25/17, Starting 10/27/2017, we will only accept the 07/25/17 edition. Until then, you can use the 08/04/15 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.
Secretary Napolitano Extends Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Sudan and Designates South Sudan for TPS Fact Sheet
August 17, 2017
Released Oct. 13, 2011 Introduction Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano extended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Sudan for 18 months. She also designated the new Republic of South Sudan for TPS for 18 months. Both the extension and the new designation are effective Nov. 3, 2011, and will continue through May 2, 2013.

USCIS Investigation Results in Guilty Plea from Former Airline Staffing Executive
August 11, 2017
Thanks to the investigative efforts of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Eleno Quinteros Jr., the former vice president of operations for two airline mechanic staffing companies, plead guilty yesterday to charges of making false statements in support of lawful permanent resident petitions for dozens of the companies’ mechanics.

Stamford Resident Admits to Operating Extensive Immigration Fraud Scheme
July 26, 2017
Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that David Nikolashvili, 52, a citizen of the Republic of Georgia residing in Stamford, pleaded guilty today in Hartford federal court to engaging in an immigration fraud scheme.
