New edition dated 10/19/2017. Starting Jan. 2, 2018, civil surgeons must use the 10/19/17 edition of Form I-693. USCIS will not accept the 02/07/17 version (or any previous editions) that a civil surgeon signed and dated on or after Jan. 2, 2018.
USCIS celebrates Veterans Day with naturalization ceremonies that highlight our agency’s commitment to bringing immigration services to members of our military and their families. This year, we will welcome more than 1,600 new citizens – including veterans, current service members and military spouses – in 23 Veterans day-themed naturalization ceremonies.

Under updated policy guidance, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is instructing its officers to apply the same level of scrutiny to both initial petitions and extension requests for certain nonimmigrant visa categories. The guidance applies to nearly all nonimmigrant classifications filed using Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker.
